The NFL season begins in the week after Labor Day, and the Raiders play their home games at Allegiant Stadium, just west of the Strip. Their home dates come out with the league schedule in the spring; on game days, rooms and traffic near the south end of the Strip fill up. On Sundays the sportsbooks are full from the morning kick-offs.
Life is Beautiful, the downtown music and arts festival that older guides still place in late September, shrank to a two-day block party in 2024, was cancelled for 2025, and has confirmed no new edition through its own channels since; listings that give dates are not from the organisers. Do not plan a trip around it unless its organisers announce a new edition.

Watch a Sunday of football in a sportsbook, take the Neon Museum's evening tour, and in the last week drive out to Red Rock Canyon at sunrise, before its timed-entry season returns on 1 October.

Reserve a cabana for the week after Labor Day, when the price falls, and a late dinner on a terrace now that the evenings are warm rather than hot. A show and a cocktail at a rooftop bar complete the night.
Families
The resort pools are still open, and quieter once the schools are back, while Springs Preserve, the Discovery Children's Museum and the Shark Reef Aquarium suit the hot afternoons of the first half.
Groups
The Labor Day dayclub parties close the summer; Raiders home games are the group weekends later in the month.
#Getting Around
The airport, Harry Reid International, is close enough to the Strip that a cab or app car rarely takes long. Once there, use the round-the-clock Deuce, the monorail along the east side, and the covered links between neighbouring casinos.
On NFL game days, traffic around Allegiant Stadium and the south end of the Strip backs up for hours before and after the game; walk, or use the monorail and the free trams to get close.
