Chinese New Year, the Year of the Goat, begins on Saturday 6 February 2027. The resorts mark it with displays, the best known in the Bellagio Conservatory, and Chinatown on Spring Mountain Road celebrates with lion dances.
The Super Bowl, the championship game of American football, is on Sunday 14 February 2027 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, near Los Angeles. It is the biggest betting event of the year in the United States, and in Las Vegas every sportsbook fills from the morning, with seats at the large resorts sold or reserved weeks ahead.
The game falls on Valentine's Day, the busiest day of the year for the city's wedding chapels, and the next day, Monday 15 February, is Presidents' Day, a US public holiday. Together they make the weekend of 12 to 15 February the most crowded of the month by far.
The rest of the month is quiet: no major conventions, no holiday crowds, and the resorts competing for guests with their lowest rates outside January.

Solo Travellers
Hike Red Rock Canyon, now with more afternoon light, and visit the Valley of Fire for its red sandstone and petroglyphs. In the evening, see a residency show midweek, when tickets are easiest and cheapest.
Couples
February is the month for weddings and vow renewals in the city's chapels, from the classic neon chapels on Las Vegas Boulevard to the resort chapels on the Strip. A dinner in one of the resorts' fine-dining rooms and a sunset at Red Rock make the gentler version.
Families
The Bellagio Conservatory Chinese New Year display, the Shark Reef Aquarium and a day trip to Hoover Dam suit the mild weather; the desert parks are pleasant for children at this temperature.
Groups
Super Bowl weekend is the city's biggest sports party of the year; any other weekend, the clubs, shows and downtown bars are easy to get into.
#Getting Around
Taxis and rideshares from Harry Reid International Airport need only a short ride to the Strip.
Once there, the Deuce bus covers the Boulevard day and night, and the Las Vegas Monorail serves the east side.
February is a comfortable month for walking the Strip in sections.
Rent a car for the desert: Red Rock Canyon, half an hour to the west, asks for a timed reservation for its Scenic Drive between 8am and 5pm, and Valley of Fire is an hour to the north-east. On Super Bowl Sunday, expect rideshare surge pricing around the game.

If rain closes a trail: give the desert a day to drain; wet clay paths are slippery and easily damaged.

Police are visible all along the Strip, and the main risks are pickpockets in the Super Bowl crowds and the empty walks between resorts late at night; take a car for those. Out in the desert, you lose water to the dry air without feeling it, even at 17°C; carry water and a warm layer, and plan around the light.
