Dubai Lives by the Temperature

Dubai's calendar is shaped almost entirely by temperature, and understanding the two distinct seasons — cool and summer — is the foundation of any good trip plan.

The Cool Season (Nov–Apr)

The cool season is peak Dubai: 20–28°C days, open beach clubs, outdoor dining in the desert, and a packed events calendar including the Dubai Shopping Festival. December to February is the absolute peak — perfect weather but premium prices, especially over Christmas and New Year.

The Summer Season (May–Oct)

The summer season is extreme: daytime highs above 40°C, high humidity, and outdoor activities limited to early morning and evening. The trade-off is dramatic: five-star beach resorts at a fraction of cool-season rates, the Dubai Summer Surprises festival, and world-class indoor entertainment without the crowds.

Our Dubai Guides

Our 14 Dubai guides cover both seasons and all 12 months honestly — including which months offer the best value, what the heat actually feels like, and how to have a great trip even in August.
